2025 Soiree Volunteer Placement Sign-ups
Thank you to our amazing Women's Symphony League members for supporting the events of the 70th Annual Jewel Ball! As part of your new or active membership, we need your time and talent either before or during the event(s) to ensure we host a beautiful guest experience. Please review the volunteer roles (link below) and sign up for what works best with your schedule.
SCHEDULING NOTE: We have defined time slots for these shifts in order to provide you the ability to manage your time and ensure we are meeting the needs of the event. However, if you have conflicts with the defined shift times but are able to help in a more flexible window, please contact Crystal at 512-576-3515 and we will work with you to ensure you are able to help!
If you are unable to fulfill your Jewel Ball placement requirement, please complete your $200 placement buy-out.
Thank you again for your continued support and enthusiasm across this Jewel Ball season!

Location: Holey Moley
As guests arrive at Soiree, please welcome them warmly to the event. Check their name against the list of paid guests to ensure they are registered. Your assistance in this process helps us ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. ***Please bring your laptop. You will be quickly trained upon your arrival at 4:30 pm!***
Thank you for considering helping with Soirée set up! Your role is essential as we only have 1 hour to get everything ready before our guests arrive. Upon your arrival to Holey Moley, plase check in with the "Volunteer Captain." You may be assigned a variety of tasks. You should wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be on your feet. The set up will be fast-paced but manageable, and your flexibility in handling different tasks will be key to ensuring everything is perfect for the event. We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to a productive and enjoyable set up together.
If you're volunteering for a shift to set up or break down the event, you also have the option to serve as a chaperone! While we do not anticipate any issues, we are expecting over 200 students and chaperones play a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment.
Reponsibilities include: ensuring guests do not wander away from the building, monitoring the safety of the bathrooms, and assisting in any potential situations by notifying the Soirée Chairs and WSL President if needed. Your presence as a chaperone is vital for the success of the event and helps ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.
If you enjoy taking candid or posed photos, we need your help! We're looking for a volunteer photographer to capture the essence of the Soirée, including shots of our vendors, guests enjoying the food, dancing, and other memorable moments. If you have a camera and a passion for photography, please join us in documenting this amazing event!
