Help me reach my goal for the UCA Hayward Roda-thon!

Hello Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

I’m excited to share that I am training for the 2026 UCA Hayward Cultural Festival at UCA Hayward this March! It is an annual celebration that brings together the power of our Capoeira community!

Capoeira has become a huge part of my life because it allows me to train my mind, body, and soul. It's connected me with an awesome community of supportive peers and mentors. The game of Capoeira is like a game of physical, acrobatic chess. It challenges the mind to think how to trick the other person, challenges the body to perform powerful and elegant moves, and challenges the soul to remember to still respect the other person who just kicked you in the head. :)

To help make this festival a success, I’m participating in a Roda-thon. This is a pledge-based fundraiser where I’ll be putting my skills to work in the "Roda" (the Capoeira circle) to raise money for our community.

• Support the Festival: Helping our school host this amazing cultural event in Hayward.

• Keep it Accessible: Providing financial assistance so that every student and family can afford to participate, regardless of their budget.
