Greetings from the Capital Area Parkinson’s Society (CAPS)!
Our non-profit organization has proudly provided education, support, and social services to people with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners in central Texas for forty years!
To commemorate this milestone, CAPS will host Tales of Tribute: Four Decades of Support at the Downtown Austin Public Library on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
This event constitutes our primary fundraiser, and we would greatly appreciate your support through sponsorship or the donation of an auction item.
Your donation allows us to provide the following free, public services:
• Support & socialization groups for people with Parkinson’s and their care partners
• Monthly lunch-and-learns presenting expert health information
• Care navigation & counseling, including information regarding resources and facilities in central Texas
• Respite time for care partners
• Speech therapy
• Crisis funds for medication, food, and utilities
• Transportation to medical appointments and CAPS activities
Our event is expected to draw more than 200 guests, and sponsors will be prominently featured on our auction materials, website, and/or social media. Most importantly, your support will ensure we can continue to serve the Parkinson’s community for another forty years.
Thank you for your consideration and support of CAPS. We hope to see you in October!
