Help me reach my goal for the UCA Hayward Roda-thon!

Hello Friends and Family,

I’m excited to share that I am training for the 2026 UCA Hayward Cultural Festival at UCA Hayward this March! It is an annual celebration that brings together the power of our Capoeira community!  

Capoeira has become a huge part of my life because it's a wonderful community that I have been fortunate to be a part of. This capoeira community has taught me lessons that I use in all areas of my life, including how to:

• respectfully assert myself
• be confident in my current abilities
• get out of my head and enjoy the moment

To help make this festival a success, I’m participating in a Roda-thon. This is a pledge-based fundraiser where I’ll be putting my skills to work in the "Roda" (the Capoeira circle) to raise money for our community.

• Support the Festival: Helping our school host this amazing cultural event in Hayward.

• Keep it Accessible: Providing financial assistance so that every student and family can afford to participate, regardless of their budget.
