I served as an IED Detection Dog Handler in the United States Marine Corps, where those dogs were partners who found threats we couldn’t see and kept Marines alive.

Now I volunteer with Canines for Service, supporting their work training service dogs and pairing them with disabled veterans. The mission looks different, but the work still saves lives by helping veterans regain independence and, for some, find a reason to keep going.

This is personal to me.

Your support helps keep more dogs in training and ultimately puts them in the hands of veterans who are waiting for them.

Registration includes one official race t-shirt and one race bib for the 5K Run. Both events are dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your four-legged companion along for the fun!

Please note: Race times will be recorded by volunteers and not by a professional timing company.

Registration includes one official race t-shirt mailed directly to you, and the opportunity to complete your chosen distance—either a 1-Mile Walk or 5K Run/Walk—on your own schedule and in your own community. Whether you participate with friends, family, or your favorite four-legged companion, you'll be helping support Veterans and service dogs every step of the way.

$25 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk Entry
