YHPAA Gala 2025: Viernes Gigante
The Young Hispanic Professional Association of Austin (YHPAA) proudly presents its 2025 Gala, Viernes Gigante. Inspired by the iconic Latin American variety show Sábado Gigante, this year’s YHPAA Gala brings that same spirit of excitement, celebration, and community to life — but with our own Austin twist!
This signature event celebrates the spirit of community, culture, and leadership while raising vital funds to support YHPAA’s mission of empowering young Hispanic professionals and advancing higher education through scholarships and mentorship programs.
Get ready for a night full of culture, joy, and empowerment as we honor Latinx excellence with YHPAA's Rising Star, Entrepreneur of the Year and Legacy awards, and raise funds to support the next generation of Hispanic professionals. With vibrant entertainment, dancing, heartfelt moments, and a little Don Francisco-style flair, "Viernes Gigante" promises to be a spectacular evening you won’t forget.
Proceeds from the Gala directly fund YHPAA scholarships and programming, helping to ensure that the next generation of Latino leaders can thrive both academically and professionally.
Gala's Variety Show Lineup:
Mariachi Sin Limite> Austin’s very own Mariachi Sin Límite is bringing the classic taste of Mexican culture with a modern twist!
Comedian> Hector Sifuentes : Héctor is a first-generation Mexican-American, proud son of parents from Durango and Chihuahua, and the first in his family to graduate college. He’s performed across the U.S. and Latin America in both English and Spanish, opening for some of the top headliners — and now he’s bringing his talent home to Austin, where you can catch him lighting up stages any night of the week.
Salsa & Afro-Caribbean performance> Oro Dance Company: Oro Dance Company is an Afro-Latin dance collective that cultivates empowerment and inclusivity — inviting us all to connect through rhythm, movement, and community.
DJ> Rodrigo Nieves "Lodri": Lodri’s sound blends Latin rhythms with electronic influences, creating a fresh, vibrant vibe that embodies the new wave of urban music in Austin. As an active force in the city’s emerging music movement, he’s collaborated with local artists, collectives, and brands that celebrate independent music culture.
