Why I Walk: Investing in the Next Generation of Latina Leaders

At Con Mi MADRE, I lead our group of parents, walking alongside mothers and daughters every day as they build brighter futures through education. But for me, this cause is personal. I'm also part of the program with my own daughter — we joined back when she was in 6th grade, and today she's thriving in high school. I've seen firsthand what mentorship, support, and community can do for a young Latina's confidence and future.

The Mariposa Walk celebrates that strength, resilience, and transformation. Every step provides mentorship, leadership development, college access, and the support families need to achieve educational success and economic mobility.

When I walk, I walk for my daughter, for every mother-daughter pair in our program, and for the next generation of Latina leaders.

Together, we're not just walking — we're investing in a future filled with opportunity, education, and economic mobility.
