At Walden University, service is not a moment; it’s a movement. Each year, that commitment comes to life through our signature initiative, Global Days of Service, uniting students, alumni, faculty, and staff in meaningful, hands-on impact across communities.
This year is especially powerful as we celebrate 20 years of Global Days of Service, alongside the 20th anniversary of the Duck Fest Derby. Two decades of service, connection, and collective impact have brought us to this moment, and we’re proud to continue that legacy in partnership with organizations creating real change.
During National Volunteer Week, the Walden community will once again come together for coordinated service efforts across the country, including:
- Chicago, Columbia
- Minneapolis
- San Antonio
- Phoenix
- Ft. Lauderdale
In South Florida, our impact will take center stage through our partnership with Kids In Distress (KID) and Family Central (FCI), organizations that support more than 20,000 children and families each year.
And this is where you come in.
We’re racing for a reason, and we need your help to make a splash.
Every $5 duck adoption directly supports programs that strengthen families and change lives through foster care and adoption support, early childhood education, and community-based services. Then, your duck gets the chance to race for exciting prizes at the Duck Fest Derby.
Adopt a duck. Join our flock. Be part of 20 years of impact in action.
Let’s see how many ducks we can rally together this year!
