Help USA Fencing and our Team USA athletes by volunteering for the Absolute Fencing Gear FIE Saber World Cup in Salt Lake City January 22-25, 2026!
Volunteers will receive:
- Free entry into the event for the day(s) they volunteer
- A volunteer t-shirt
- A meal voucher for each shift
- Parking validation
Available volunteer positions include:
- Anti-doping: assist USADA representatives with locating athletes to conduct anti-doping testing, escorting athletes to sample collection area and other tasks as necessary. Volunteers for this position must be 18 year or older.
- Armory: assisting in armory with moving an pakcing of equipment, pre and post inspection by event armorers. No formal armory training is need to volunteer.
- Awards/General: assisting with production of award ceremonies and presentation of medals and trophies to podium finishers. Dress wear is required. Men: slacks, button down shirt, tie, jacket, and dress shoes. Women: slacks and jacket, dress, skirt and jacket, dress shoes.
- Bag Carriers: assisting with carrying of equipment from control to replay and finals strips during quarter, semi, and final rounds of competition.
- Breakdown Help: disassembling branding items, packing up equipment, taking down flags, and miscellaneous tasks as needed
- Camera Operators: operating boom cameras for replay rounds
- Technical Director (DT) Assistant: working with DT members and DT President to help with tournament operations and administrative tasks
- Registration: distributing credentials, selling tickets, wayfinding
- Setup Help: assembling branding materials, stringing banners, hanging flags
Unless otherwise indicated, volunteers should wear their volunteer tshirt, long pants and close-toed shoes for their shift.
