Every year, the Ueno Center holds our Referral Appreciation Event for our referring doctors and their teams.  This year's theme is the 80s. We will have a Journey cover band, great food, drinks, and fun times with colleagues in a casual setting.

With every event, we will be raffling off items donated from our supporting vendors.  This year, we will also do something different by holding a silent auction with all proceeds benefitting Parents Helping Parents, an organization dedicated to supporting and educating those with special needs.  Our goal for this event is to bring awareness about Autism and how we, as dental professionals, can actually be a part of the team to reduce the prevalence of Autism!  Pregnant mothers with airway issues have a much higher rate of having an autistic child.  As dental professionals, we treat airway and if we treat it early, we can help!

In 2002, the rate of Autism was 1 in 150 births.  In 2014, that rate dramatically increased to 1 in 59 births.  In 2018, that further increased to 1 in 40 births and they expect that number to be in 1 in 35 births next year.  On top of that, the average cost of the medical care and intensive behavioral therapy is estimated to be between $40,000 to $60,000 per year per child!  Again, we can help!
