Tumbling for Actors and Fools

Saturdays 2:30pm-4:00pm April 11-May 30

Add tumbling and acro to your performance skills with this class, created especially for actors. We will learn to safely roll, jump, and turn upside down in any performance space. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned acrobat, this class will teach you something new to bring to the stage.

There are 16 spaces available in this class. Registration for the entire session is preferred, however we will open any unfilled spots for drop-ins each week. 

About the instructors:

Rachel and Riya both coach team gymnastics at Asheville Community Movement. Rachel has a background in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, and strength and conditioning. Riya is currently a competitive gymnast, a rock climber, and an occasional Moppet.

This class will be held at Asheville Community Movement. After you register you will recieve an email asking you to create an account and sign waivers in the Asheville Community Movement's enrollment system. This is required for students to be allowed into the gym.

A Quick Guide to Our Sliding-Fee Scale

In order to make our programs accessible while also attempting to ensure that we can pay our directors, assistant directors and staff a fair rate, the Moppets have adopted a sliding-fee scale.

• Pay-It-Forward Registration – This level is $25 above the actual cost of the program. The extra money goes towards supporting scholarships for other students.

• Student Registration – This level is the actual cost of the class or production. If you choose a ticket price below this tier, you are receiving a discount.

• Sibling Registration – This level gives families a $25 discount for each additional sibling who participates.

• Pay What You Can – This level is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Please decide on an amount that you consider fair to us and affordable to your family without creating a hardship.

• Full Scholarship – This level is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and for whom paying for this class or production would present a significant hardship.

Cancellation Policy:

Registrations are partially refundable and non transferable between March 1 and April 1, 2026 .
