The Montford Moppets Youth Shakespeare Company is dedicated to teaching local young theatre artists responsibility and accountability through participation in classical theatre. Our no barrier scholarship and sliding scale options were created to insure that finances are never a barrier to participation in our programs. Our students have gone on to be part of local professional and community theatre productions, college performing arts programs, touring shows, and even writing and directing their own productions. Our scholarship fund allows us to provide access to our programs to all WNC youth while still paying the professionals who work with our students a living wage for their work. The primary source of our scholarship fund is you. Every donation made to the fund pays all or part of a student's tuition, which allows us to pay the directors, assistant directors, intimacy and fight coordinators, and other professionals who work with them on every show.

The Moppet Scholarship fund provided $5350 toward participation in our 2026 summer programs, or roughly 47% of our total tuition for A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hamlet. Every contribution makes a measurable difference in both the life of our organization and the experience of a student. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
