We look forward to gathering each year to spread the word about Swan Songs, share concert stories, shine a light on the musicians, volunteers, staff and board who facilitate this work, and thank the generous Swan Songs donors whose financial support is instrumental in making musical last wishes possible for our recipients and their loved ones.
The event includes a cocktail reception, silent and live auction, seated dinner catered by Four Seasons Hotel, Austin, and a rare acoustic set performed by Los Lonely Boys.
Thank you for your support. Because of you, we are able to continue to fulfill musical last wishes across our community. The start of the year brought a 33% increase in the number of concert requests and we need your help to keep meeting the demand.

Swan Songs fulfills musical last wishes by organizing private concerts for individuals with a terminal illness or nearing the end of life. At no cost to the family, a favorite style of music or regional musician is brought directly to the home or care facility. Committed to supporting live music in the community, Swan Songs compensates its musicians for each performance.
Swan Songs works with dozens of regional hospices and care facilities and has compensated musicians for each of the concerts, now numbering nearly 400 per year. As the program evolved, it became apparent that there was a more compelling desire to request a certain style of music than a specific artist, although some regional artists have been requested by name (Guy Forsyth, Eliza Gilkyson, Ruthie Foster, Jimmy LaFave, Bob Schneider, Ray Benson, Carolyn Wonderland, Marcia Ball, The Flatlanders and more.)
Swan Songs works diligently to match the style of music requested with the appropriate musician(s). The diversity of requests over the years (opera, jazz, Mariachi, bluegrass, New Orleans jazz, French chansons...) is a testament to how deep an individual’s connection with music can be – based on a lifetime of memories, culture, heritage and geography. Whatever connects the recipient to those memories, their family, their joy – that is what Swan Songs brings.
