Ryker is an adventurous, joyful child who loves speed, motion, and building Legos for hours. His smile lights up any room, and though he's more of an introvert, he balances social time with quiet independence. He’s passionate about roller coasters, bike riding, Legos, and animals, and while not always the most talkative, he fully embraces life.

Ryker and his identical twin were born four weeks early in Las Vegas due to preeclampsia. His birth was especially difficult—he had a low Apgar score, struggled to breathe, and spent five weeks in the NICU due to an absent sucking reflex. Early signs led to genetic testing, discovery of heart issues, and multiple specialist referrals. Diagnosed with failure to thrive, he was hospitalized frequently in his first year and underwent open-heart surgery at age two.

A move to Denver brought new insights: chromosome abnormalities, hearing loss, and eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE), along with ongoing care for pulmonary stenosis and sleep apnea. Despite chronic health issues, Ryker has made amazing strides. Through therapy and medical support, many of his conditions are now well-managed, and he continues to thrive—living each day with heart, resilience, and joy.
