Join us in creating an unforgettable day for local single moms at SMILE’s Single Mother’s Day Celebration on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. This event is all about honoring, uplifting, and encouraging these incredible women with a day of pampering, connection, and joy. We can’t do it without passionate and caring volunteers like you!
Whether you love serving behind the scenes or connecting with people face-to-face, there’s a role for you. From welcoming moms with warmth to helping with fun activities and beautiful experiences, your time and talents will make a lasting impact.
Organizes and oversees the pampering stations.
Manages and supervises the kids' activity area.

Oversees and coordinates a team of volunteers to offer one-on-one encouragement and prayer, creating a safe and uplifting space for moms seeking spiritual support.

The Food & Kitchen Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service for SMILE’s Single Mother’s Day Celebration. This includes coordinating meal preparation and presentation, managing food distribution, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and supervising kitchen volunteers. The goal is to provide a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for all attendees.
Welcome guests at the door, offer warm smiles, and direct them to registration.
Check in attendees, distribute name tags, and provide event materials.

Table Host Qualifications:
Welcoming & Encouraging– A warm presence to help moms feel comfortable.
Good Listener – Willing to engage in conversations while allowing moms to share openly.
Dependable & Committed– Arrives early and remains present throughout the event.
Respectful & Non-Judgmental – Recognizes the diversity of single moms’ experiences.
Optional: Faith-Based Encouragement– If appropriate, gently offer support or prayer.
Provide assistance to moms throughout the event (answer questions, offer directions, etc.).
Help with plating and serving the meal. This team is also responsible for overseeing beverages and dessert.
Assist with check-in and ensure children are properly signed in and out.
Ensure children are safe and entertained.
Lead group activities or interactive games for the kids.
Lead children in a craft activity.
Manage sound, lighting, and presentation slides.
Keep the event flowing, make announcements, and introduce speakers.
Available for one-on-one encouragement and prayer with the moms.
Take photos at the photo booth or capture meaningful moments throughout the event.
This comes with recognition in the event program and social media promotions and all other lists of sponsors.
Arrive early to set up tables, decorations, and activity stations.
Help wherever needed during the event (filling in for breaks, assisting with unexpected needs).
Stay after the event to tear down, clean, and reset the space.
Single mom event attendees take behind-the-scenes photos/videos and post live event updates.
Handle last-minute errands or supply runs.
On-site security, ensuring a safe and calm environment.
Lead moms in a guided painting.

Use your talent to bless a single mom with a moment of pampering and confidence. Hair Styling Volunteers will provide simple dry styling services such as curling, braiding, or straightening. This is a chance to remind each mom that she is seen, valued, and beautiful. Please let us know what tools you are bringing or if you need some provided. Licensed stylists preferred but not required.
As a Henna Artist, you'll provide beautiful, temporary henna designs for moms as part of our pampering area. This station is meant to offer a relaxing and artistic experience, allowing each mom to feel adorned and special. Volunteers should have prior experience with henna or be confident in applying simple designs with care and creativity. You’ll help create a peaceful, encouraging atmosphere where moms can unwind and enjoy being celebrated. Supplies will be provided.
