Climate change is not an equal-opportunity crisis. Its heaviest burdens fall on low-income communities and communities of color, who face disproportionate harm from storms, heat, and pollution while having the fewest resources to respond.
The Center for Engagement, Environmental Justice, and Health INpowering Communities (CEEJH INC) is tackling this injustice at its roots by empowering the very communities on the front lines. Through the Climate Justice Fellows Program, we are cultivating a powerful, global network of advocates equipped to turn passion into lasting, community-driven change.
Our Climate Justice Fellows Program is an intensive fellowship that combines education in environmental and climate justice principles with hands-on, practical experience. It is designed to empower individuals to become effective advocates and leaders in their communities through a dynamic, practice-based learning experience.

A Rigorous, Practice-Based Journey: Fellows engage in virtual learning and hands-on projects, gaining practical skills to address local environmental challenges. They receive direct mentorship from national experts in policy, science, and advocacy.

Barrier-Free Access to Opportunity: To ensure passion is the only prerequisite, the program is fully funded. Each fellow receives a $2,500 stipend, and all travel and lodging for essential in-person retreats are covered.

A Truly Global Community: This fellowship builds bridges across borders. In 2025, we welcomed fellows from 16 different countries, creating a rich network for shared learning and global solidarity.
