NC4K Casino Royale Gala Volunteer Sign-Up
Thank you for stepping up to volunteer at the 2026 NC4K Casino Royale Gala on Friday, May 8, 2026, at The Heart of Africa Event Center at the Columbus Zoo. Your time and energy help us create a night that’s high-stakes fun for all the right reasons.
How to Sign Up (No Bluffing Required):
-
Choose Your Preferred Role – Pick the volunteer role that suits your style. While we’ll do our best to honor preferences, assignments may shift to keep the night running smoothly.
-
Commit to Your Shift – Volunteers are expected to stay for the full length of their assigned shift.
-
Attend Pre-Event Training – A brief pre-event training and overview is required before the doors open.
-
Be Ready to Go All In – Flexibility is key! You may be asked to assist in multiple areas, including setup and teardown.
Volunteer Roles May Include:
-
Check-In & Registration – Be the first smile guests see! Welcome attendees, assist with check-in, and distribute event materials.
-
Auction Support – Help manage silent auction items, answer guest questions, and assist winners as they cash in their winning bids.
-
Casino Game Support – Help facilitate the fun at our casino-style games by assisting guests, explaining game play, and keeping the energy high. (Full training provided—no poker face required.)
-
Guest Assistance – Float the floor, answer questions, and help guests navigate the evening with ease.
-
Event Setup & Teardown – Help us set the stage and wrap it up, from décor to final cleanup.
Attire:
Cocktail attire required. A dress or black pants with a dress shirt is ideal so volunteers look polished and uniform. Comfortable dress shoes are strongly encouraged—you’ll be on your feet most of the night. Volunteer name tags will be provided at check-in. Dress code is mandatory—please dress professionally.
Arrival:
Please arrive on time and allow ample time for travel and parking. Punctuality is critical—your teammates are counting on you.
Conduct:
As a representative of NC4K, you’re part of the brand and the mission. A positive, “can-do” attitude is expected, along with a willingness to assist wherever needed to support guests and fellow volunteers.
Parking:
Volunteers will park in the lot near the Heart of Africa Event Center. A parking pass and map will be provided in advance. Please note: the entrance is separate from the main zoo turnstile entrance.
Meals:
Volunteers will have an opportunity to eat during the event. Please plan to eat and hydrate before arriving. While working, you may rotate to grab food while stations are open.
Age Requirement:
All volunteers must be 18 years or older for this event.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support and can’t wait to work together on this unforgettable night!
