The Great Getaway is a week long opportunity for special needs families to enjoy a retreat atmosphere. The camp is put on through Hurdling Handicaps Speaking Ministry. This fundraiser helps support the camp and the families who attend. Each vote = $1 and is a great opportunity to come alongside families and help them have an unforgettable week at The Great Getaway.

Having attended the 'Getaway' last year as a volunteer, I can attest to the wonderful time had by all of the families.   The support provided by the Ministry volunteers is amazing.   There are events for the parents to spend time with other adults and for the sibs to have their own activities.  Of course the special needs child is provided as much support as needed.   All of this is done in a Christian atmoshphere.
