Merri & Jason Woodward
Merri & Jason Woodward were born and raised in beautiful Madison County, and are both graduates of MCHS. They have been married for 28 years this coming May. Jason is a Journeyman Lineman with NOVEC coop located in Gainesville, VA and has been doing this line of work for going on 25 years. Merri is the owner of the local coffee shop/bakery on Main St; known to all as Cake Krums. She opened her doors back in 2017 with a dream and a prayer and has continued to find success and has added custom catering and larger custom orders to her repertoire.
They have three adult daughters, Autumn (30), Emilee (28) and Skylar (23) and five grandbabies that are the light of their lives. Amelia (8), Andrew (3), Colter (2), Vera (2) and Matthew (1). Merri & Jason are positive their lives are forever better when spent with their grandchildren! They keep them young!
When they are not working, they enjoy going on long car rides around the county and surrounding counties checking out local small businesses and restaurants. They enjoy spending time talking and laughing in the car together and finding new treasures and places to eat! Supporting small businesses is very important to both of them!
They are both truly honored to be part of this amazing organization—Boys & Girls Club of Madison. They were not aware of all that the Club does for the children in the Maidson community until they recently went on a tour. They were blown away by what the wonderful staff does for our kids. From a teen room packed with games, books, writing desks, a movie station, homework help and many other things, it is a wonderful safe place for teens and young kids to learn and hang out after school and all day during the summer! The staff truly care about having a positive impact on our youth. Merri & Jason are truly so honored to be a small part of this fundraising event!

Boys & Girls Club of Madison is a safe place where children ages 5 to 18 participate in year-round enrichment programs. Full-day programs this past summer were filled with learning, laughter, and lasting moments. Club members stayed on track for the school year with Daily 20/20/20, our program that dedicates 20 minutes each day to reading, writing, and STEM. Funds raised through Dancing for the Stars help the Club maintain membership fees of only $75 for the school year and $100 for the summer, so that we can be a safe and reliable resource for young people to learn, grow, and have fun.
