But after watching her cousin suffer this fate, Heera is determined to find a way out. A chance encounter introduces her to the power of kung fu. Through martial arts, Heera learns to harness her own strength to protect herself and those around her. When her best friend goes missing, Heera suspects the worst. Why Support RIA?
Supporting RIA and the people we serve is the investment you want to make in 2026 and beyond. RIA services are free and customized to meet the needs of each individual. Not accepting health insurance allows us to be more flexible and cutting edge in the service space. RIAs 2025 Impact Report demonstrates why our unique service model (Therapy, Peer-Mentorship, Financial Assistance) works to help people transform lives while healing from experiences of being trafficked/ exploited in the commercial sex trade.
Stories of impact share how RIA services make a difference for survivors healing from their experiences of being bought and sold in the commercial sex trade. Here is one story of impact written by a RIA participant in January 2026.
