It's school board election time again! Did you know the last two elections were decided by less than 300 votes? Mailing, texting, or lit dropping 300 additional voters could mean the difference between winning the election and losing the election. But this all costs money. Your donations are key to winning those 300 votes and winning the election! This year V4P is endorsing Tiffany Bennett for place 6 and Natalie Nugent for place 7. Please help us defend public schools and build a better LTISD. Donating is the best way to help us reach every persuadable voter in LTISD and ensure we get those last 300 votes!
LTISD has made great strides in 2025 and that's because of the new representation on the school board. The V4P-backed school board members approved a new qualified superintendent, Dr. Null, who is making significant leadership and communication improvements in the district. But the school board is facing extremely challenging times due to what is happening at the state level. We don't need a board that will choose the Bluebonnet curriculum, an academically inferior religious-based curriculum, in order to get more funding. We also don't need a board who will bring back book bans. Rob Aird and Keely Cano, the two school board members, whose seats are up for re-election this year, have both voted to ban books. If they were to regain the majority, they would ban more. And lastly, we don't need to enable the other side to have a political bench to build upon in the state of Texas. Remember that Dawn Buckingham, Texas Land Commissioner, got her start on the LTISD school board.
We need to ensure we keep buildling on the progress we've made in LTISD this year. Attending this event is an easy way for you to do that! This event will raise money for Lake Travis Voices for Progress (V4P), a community-led PAC, that is endorsing two fantastic candidates, to be announced February 3rd, for school board. Help us reach our $30,000 fundraising target!
This event is hosted at a private home in the Lake Travis area. You will receive the location of the event once you've made your donation.
