This monthly trauma-informed drop-in support group offers a calm, supportive space specifically for nonprofit workers doing wildfire recovery work to slow down, breathe, and tend to what remains. If the Eaton or Palisades fires have left you feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or changed, you are not alone.
Each gathering is intentionally paced and grounded, offering simple tools to help regulate the nervous system, gentle education about trauma responses, and space to share, only if and when you choose. The focus is on safety, connection, and practical ways to support yourself in the midst of ongoing recovery.
The group is facilitated by David Washington, LCSW, founder of The Planted Brain, Inc. With over 12 years of experience in mental health and more than 8 years leading therapy groups, David brings a steady, compassionate presence rooted in trauma-informed care.
This group is specifally for nonprofit staff. You are welcome to come as you are. No prior experience is needed.
