We recognize January 8 will be a painful day for so many impacted by the Eaton Canyon fire. For those who wish to be in community with other Executive Directors, we will be meeting to discuss what "Give or Get" policies for Board members should look like one year after the fires.
Creating an effective Board "Give or Get" policy was challenging in the past as organizations struggled how to bring more voices to the Board table with skills, talents and insights highly valuable to the organization but who might not have the "deep pockets" of other Board members. Now financial stress may be affecting many more Board members. What should a non-profit do to maintain and support valued Board members in 2026?
