During her first year of joining JoyRide, DeeDee discovered more growth, confidence, and joy than she ever expected. JoyRide quickly became a place where she felt understood, supported, and encouraged in ways she often tells us we cannot fully grasp. She shares that JoyRide has helped her so much that she can hardly believe she is now doing things she never imagined were possible.

Prior to JoyRide, DeeDee faced several challenging years. Everything began to change when she entered the PREP Day Program, where she formed meaningful friendships, learned practical life skills, and found connection and community in her daily activities.

Her journey grew even deeper through Therapeutic Riding. Early on, she formed a remarkable bond with Duke, the horse who helped her feel steady, supported, and confident. Their connection meant so much that she chose to get a tattoo of Duke on her arm, a permanent reminder of the healing, strength, and joy she found through their partnership.

As her confidence continued to grow, DeeDee reached a milestone she once believed was out of reach. She earned her very first job.

Today, DeeDee walks into JoyRide with purpose and pride. She knows she is capable. She knows she is supported. And she knows she has found a place that brings out the very best in her.
