YOU are invited to help us celebrate 90 years at our PARTY ON THE PLAZA!
Jet is a happy-go-lucky two-year-old. His easy demeanor makes his mom Jackie feel like she’s won the toddler lottery! He weighed 1lb 9ozs at birth and spent his first several months in the hospital. When he came home, he quickly began receiving early intervention services to help him gain and improve important developmental skills. Occupational therapy helped Jet learn how to move, and he took his first steps with the help of his physical therapist. When he began receiving speech therapy in April, he spoke five words and by January, he was testing above his age range. According to his mom Jackie, the early intervention team has been the heart of their community, providing important resources and support that go far beyond physical, occupational and speech therapy. For her, early intervention is a vital support network that has helped her fill in the gaps. When Jet isn’t working with one of his therapists, he would happily spend all his time coloring. And while coloring is his passion, it could easily be said that Toy Story is his obsession. Jet seems to be equal parts smart, sweet, and mama’s boy. We can’t wait to see how he colors his world with possibility.
