This role can be done on your schedule, with 1 recurring monthly meeting and occasional calls or emails needed during regular business hours.
This is an ongoing role and we would prefer participants that can commit to at least 1 year with the Fundraising Committee.
Purpose & Role Description
The Fundraising Committee consists of 3 - 6 volunteers and the goal is to assist Infant Massage USA in planning and implementing fundraising related projects. This role involves
- Participate in monthly Fundraising Committee meeting
- Create and implement fundraising initiatives
- Engage in advocacy of the organization and peer networking
- Work with development staff to review the annual fundraising calendar and activities
- Participate in annual special events and other fundraising activities
- Monitor & support fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that fundraising efforts are cost-effective.
- Work with staff, Trainers and other Infant Massage USA Members or Advisors to promote and implement the Committee's plans
Skills / Qualifications
- Interest in fundraising
- Basic computer skills, including use of email, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets etc) and audio/video conferencing
- Clear writing skills
Training / Support
- This role will receive training on the current fundraising practices and guidelines
- All Infant Massage USA Volunteers receive a Volunteer Guide to outline our policies and procedures and video introduction
- Infant Massage USA staff are available for ongoing support
