The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, has created a challenge in our normal ways of living in terms of everything we do. Even regular everyday activities seem to be an uphill challenge to push through, due to the inability to move around freely and socialize. 

This has made the already stressful lives of students all over the world even more challenging. This applies more to the students undergoing transitions like applying for Academy, Undergrad and Graduate programs. The extent of mental health impacts this has created on students is unprecedented and like never before. 

We are a group of students, representing New Jersey Renaissance Leo Club, affiliated to the New Jersey Renaissance Lions Club, a fully not-for-profit organization,  working to create a support group for students undergoing undue stress due to the pandemic. We strive to get some of the top concerns in the minds of students across the globe addressed to our best extents. We will be inviting successful professionals from various industries such as Medicine, Healthcare, Technology and Business to share their experiences and strategies with students.

In our initial interactions with various student groups, we realized there are a lot of passionate students who are looking for opportunities to give back to other community groups that are challenged in various different ways due to Covid. Our research guided us to LCIF (Lions Club International Foundation), a global Non Profit Organization, that has awarded 333 LCIF Grants towards COVID-19 Frontline Relief.

Our fundraising goal is to contribute to LCIF’s General Disaster Fund, to help LCIF in the fight to keep our families and communities safe. All donations to this fund are eligible for Melvin Jones Fellows and Campaign 100.
