Coming on the heels of our largest fundraising effort in over a year, we want to thank everyone who was able to help us buy hay!
When we announced that we were closing our doors, many of our donors stopped giving. We have been playing a balancing act for the last several months, because the funds simply have not been there to pay off the medical care, Farrier or even pay for the feed for the horses and shavings. Because of this, we have outstanding debts that we need to get under control. We are in jeopardy of losing all of these services so we have to get caught up. We need the Vet. We need the Farrier. We need to be able to purchase feed and shavings.
We still have 80 horses to feed and care for. We can’t wrap them in bubble wrap to keep them from doing foolish things that then require medical attention. We never know when colic will occur and recently we lost Jayd to torsion…So totally unexpected and Dr. T felt she was not a candidate for surgery even thought we had a donor willing to help pay for it. We still have to muck stalls and put down shavings. We still have horses that need their feet trimmed. There are horses that require daily medications like Previcox. Utilities are over $1000 per month. There are so many expenses and we are so far behind.
We need to ask for your help once again. This fundraiser is for $8500. to help pay down the above debts. We need to raise these funds by June 19th!
