What did you want to be when you grew up?

For me... As a kid, I loved going into the office with my mom, fascinated by this new thing called a "computer". I swore I'd be a wedding cake designer & got into baking, design, and decorating as a teen. In college, I changed majors because I saw how much more free & fun marketing was - though I considered business law.

And today I am incredibly grateful for how that early exposure has given me the tech forward, creative, and playful career I have today. And through this, I've served as a rock, and foundation for my family as we overcome the toughest of circumstances.

It's also why for the past 4 years, I've supported an organization called Exposure Project - where our Executive Director believed enough in the power of exposure, that she built the most immersive career development program for middle/high school youth. We don't just tell youth about their possibilities, we place them within them. From urban planning, aviation, culinary arts, cosmetology, financial literacy - and so much more.

My belief in Exposure Project isn't just because I see the "glass half full". It's because I lived it, and I know exposure is all it takes to change everything for an entire generation.

If this mission resonates - here are three ways for you to contribute:

  • Financially: $100 Donation: If I get 30 of these I hit my personal goal!
  • Board Representation: We are actively seeking new board members to join. Please reach me at kaeladgreen@gmail.com
  • Volunteerism: We are always looking for new volunteers in our network - both virutal and in person (Charlotte, NC)

The Reality

Many young people grow up without real exposure to careers. They may hear about different jobs, but rarely get the chance to meet professionals, ask questions, or experience what those paths actually look like.

Our Reality

At The Exposure Project, we create real-life experiences that help middle and high school youth explore careers and begin deciding the paths they want to pursue.

Join the $100 Campaign

This April, we are inviting 180 bold people to give $100 to help make these experiences possible.

Your support helps middle and high school youth engage in hands-on career experiences, connect with professionals, and explore what their future could look like.

While the campaign is centered around $100 gifts, we welcome you to give whatever feels right for you. Every gift helps create more exposure and more opportunity!
