In Loving Memory of Pansy (Maud Ann) Clippard Howell

1932 - 2026

On July 14, 2026, Pansy (Maud Ann) Clippard Howell passed away peacefully at 94 years old. 

Pansy was a devoted wife, loving mother, philanthropist, proud grandmother, and cherished friend 
whose life was defined by kindness, grace, and unwavering love for her family. Pansy is survived by her 
daughter, Kim Howell Beible, widow of Ron Beible, of Lake Forest, Illinois; her son, Joe Kurt Howell and his wife, Cindy Howell, of Odessa, Florida; and her four beloved grandchildren, Zachary Beible, Joseph Beible, Hayley Howell, and Hunter Howell.

Pansy shared a lifetime of love and partnership with her husband, Dr. Joe Al Howell, who preceded her in death. More than husband and wife, they were true partners in every sense of the word. Together, they built a remarkable life centered on family, education, faith, and service to others. Pansy was his trusted confidante, steadfast supporter, and greatest source of strength. Every accomplishment they achieved was the result of their shared dedication and love.

Those who knew Pansy will remember her joyful spirit, stubbornness for the right, quiet strength, gracious heart, and genuine compassion. While she was known for her kindness and warmth, she also possessed a fiercely competitive nature and a delightful sense of humor that kept family and friends smiling. She loved a challenge, enjoyed good-natured competition (especially a game of cards, rummy or Bridge in particular), and never missed an opportunity to share a clever remark or laugh. Her ability to bring joy to others, often at just the right moment, was one of her greatest gifts. She had a remarkable way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her warmth, humor, and devotion to family will remain an enduring part of her legacy. The way she loved others was fierce and admirable, a trait her family hopes to carry on. 

In accordance with Pansy's wishes, no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider a donation to Gulfside Hospice - 2061 Collier Pakrway, Land O' Lakes, FL 34639, whose compassionate caregivers provided exceptional comfort and support during her final days.
