Individual Worker Membership
Good Work Austin (GWA) is working to build a local food and beverage industry where workers are valued, supported, and have a voice in shaping their workplaces and industry.
Individual Worker Membership gives hospitality workers a direct way to connect with GWA, access resources and professional development, build relationships with other workers, and get involved in advocacy and worker-led efforts to improve the industry.
This membership is open to FOH, BOH, and management-level workers. Business owners are not eligible for Individual Worker Membership (Join as a Member Business here). While managers may join individually, we encourage them to enroll their workplace as a GWA Business Member, which gives their entire team access to worker benefits at no additional cost.
Purpose & Structure
Individual Worker Membership creates a space for hospitality workers to learn, connect, share experiences, and build collective power around the issues that matter to them.
Members can access GWA trainings, events, resources, and professional development while also having opportunities to participate in worker organizing, advocacy, and conversations that help shape GWA’s priorities and the future of Austin’s hospitality industry.
Membership & Benefits
Individual Worker Membership is designed to be affordable and accessible, including for workers whose employers are not GWA members.
Members can:
-
Access free or discounted GWA trainings and events
-
Connect with other hospitality workers across Austin
-
Access worker-focused resources and professional development
-
Participate in worker organizing, advocacy, and industry initiatives
-

If the membership fee is a barrier to joining, please contact info@goodworkaustin.org and we will work with you.
