GOKiC has been supporting our families with funds to help with food, rent and technology access for the youth to connect with their teachers. We have been using the extra funds we have allocated to our program and have squeezed our current year budget to offer more funds for family as there is an immediate need. 

Many our families are undocumented and have not bee working for the past 2 months, are not getting unemployment or federal help, have not recieved local grants and are not getting SNAP benefits (Food Stamps) because of the new Trump regulations denying immigration applications if families have used federal funds at some point. Many have tried to go back to work or have been looking for new jobs, but because of the lock down, they have been unsuccessful. These families are going to foodbanks or are working with local orgs to help bring groceries for the week. We need your support!
