Asian Eats ATX is a citywide charity dining event celebrating Asian food, culture, and community while supporting an important cause. Friends and food lovers from across Greater Austin gather at some of the best Asian and Asian fusion restaurants for a one-of-a-kind dining experience that gives back.

Here's How it Works

Dine for a Cause: Choose from a variety of participating restaurants offering exclusive, chef-curated meals. Whether you’re craving authentic street food, fine dining, or something in between, there's a seat at the table for you.

Party with Purpose: After dinner, continue the celebration at Asian Eats After Dark, an evening of desserts, drinks, and live entertainment at Wanderlust Wine Co. (Shady Ln). Open to the public, this lively afterparty is a chance to connect, celebrate, and support our community's future.

Support the 2026 Charity Focus - GAACCF Women’s Financial Education:
In 2026, the GAACC Foundation will launch an all-new program to support women’s financial literacy, empowering women to build financial independence and achieve their goals from personal finance to entrepreneurship and business ownership.

We know that financial literacy = confidence, control, and choice. When women are financially empowered, they don’t just change their lives. They transform communities and generations.

Funds raised during Asian Eats ATX and Asian Eats After Dark will support the creation of this crucial and exciting initiative (all AEATX purchases and donations are tax-deductible)!

$200 "From Deep in My Chest" (Print)

About the Artwork:

Title: From Deep in My Chest

Measurement: 28" x 41"

Medium: Inkjet Print In Poster Frames

Description of work:

"I’ve long struggled with how my bust shaped the way I was perceived - especially in relationships. From the passing remarks of elementary school boys to the objectifying comments of crushes, I lost faith that I could ever be seen beyond my figure. For a long time, it felt like without it, I wouldn’t be lovable. While my relationship with my body is still evolving, I’ve realized that my femininity doesn’t reside in one feature. It lives deeper - not in my skin, but in parts of me that can’t be touched or reduced."

About the Artist:

"I am a Filipina-American multidisciplinary designer and artist whose practice explores storytelling and identity through visual communication. Working primarily in graphic design and illustration, my work centers on identity-focused branding projects and illustration-based work. I’m drawn to personal narratives shaped by memory and reflection, and to the ways visual work can hold and express these experiences.
This interest shapes how I approach my process, which is iterative and exploratory. I begin with sketches, research, and reflection, allowing ideas to develop through experimentation across a range of mediums, including clay, ink, and painting. I particularly gravitate toward hand-drawn typography, tactile textures, and illustrative elements, using material and form to bring a sense of handmade care and presence into my work."

$200 "A Message to My Younger Self" (Print)

About the Artwork:

Title: A Message to My Younger Self

Measurement: 28" x 41"

Medium: Inkjet Print In Poster Frame

Description of work:

"As a child, I often felt disconnected from the people around me. In communities where I rarely saw others who looked like me, I became painfully aware of my differences: my tanned skin, my flatter nose, my eyes. Even within my own family, I struggled to feel beautiful, constantly comparing myself to Filipino beauty standards that I didn’t quite fit. In this piece, my present self (right) looks back at my younger self (left), who is caught in the act of wanting to blend in by pulling her eyes. It’s a quiet moment of looking at who I was, understanding what I let go of, and slowly learning to embrace it again."

$675 "IKEBANA" (Painting)

About the Artwork:

Title: Ikebana

Measurement: 24" x 30"

Medium: Acrylic, Acrylic wash, Modeling Paste, Foils

Description of work:

Ikebana "making flowers alive" is the art of Japanese flower arranging and is counted as one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement.

Strategically crafted, this piece actually contains three separate flower arrangements, depending on the angle you look at it. If you stand directly in front, you'll see a beautiful orchid against a backdrop of silver and gold. Stand to the right at the gold and silver disappear to leave a bright white solitary orchid. And if you stand to the left the orchid falls away to leave brilliant gold and silver petals falling gracefully from the branches.

This illusion is made possible by the play of light on the reflective metallic foils. Near impossible to reproduce, it marks this piece as a piece of original art.

About the Artist:

Lauren Hua is an abstract expressionist painter who uses art as a way to blend her American upbringing with her Asian heritage. Carrying her heritage to the canvas as the subject, her pieces are free flowing, with both Japanese and Chinese influences in the brush strokes and compositions. Yet they deviate from the traditional, structured calligraphy lines with bold textures and metallic accents that are unapologetically independent and self-assured.

$188,000 "The Court of Sherbanoo" (Painting)

About the Artwork:

Title: The Court of Sherbanoo

Measurement: 30” x 40”

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

Description of work:

The Court of Sherbanoo is a surrealist reinterpretation of an 11th-century illustration of a creation myth and the first in the series to address the impact of the Partition of 1949 and the South Asian diaspora on South Asian women. This rendition seeks to center birthing people in a creation myth and tells the story of Sherbanoo’s life and growing community post her displacement from Bombay to Karachi due to the partition of India and Pakistan. Here you can see Sherbanoo with her sister-in-law to her right, taking the place of her trusted advisor and guide, surrounded by her daughters, grandchildren, and community.

About the Artist:

Zahra creates visual narratives through acrylics on textured canvas, carved woodwork, and sculpture that honor cultural roots while exploring the contemporary Asian diaspora experience. As a Pakistani-American artist with roots in the Indian subcontinent, her work draws from the rich artistic traditions that traveled the Silk Road, celebrating the multicultural exchanges that shaped civilizations from China to Persia, Korea to Southeast Asia.

Recent exhibitions include serving as the centerpiece artist at Ginger Roots Dallas, the Alternate Roots 48th Conference in North Carolina, and the US Ismaili Arts Festival in Dallas. About the Artwork:

Title: Grace

Measurement: 40" x 30"

Medium: Acrylic, Modeling Paste, 24k Gold

Description of work:

Lotus flowers have long symbolized purity,  enlightenment, divine beauty and grace. They grow in muddy or murky waters but remain unblemished. The pure white flowers remain pristine and untainted despite their surroundings, carrying themselves apart with quiet dignity and grace.

In the foreground, the delicate silhouettes of three lotus flowers stand in gentle contrast against the radiant golden sun. Their graceful curves and intricate details are rendered in shades of white and silver, adding a sense of ethereal beauty. It is meant to invoke the sense of tranquil ponds and calm waters and grant you a sense of peace.

$5,000 "Bridges" (Painting)

About the Artwork:

Title: Bridges

Measurement: 24” x 36”

Medium: Mixed Media on Canvas

Description of work:

Inspired by hope in the face of division, Bridges asks the audience to focus on the path to connection and unity - littered with flowers and beauty in the face of distractions. All else in the image here is left out of focus and ghostly in the face of the power and presence of a path, a bridge where we meet “beyond the ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing...” (Rumi).
