Can you imagine choosing between buying groceries or medicine? Skipping a meal so your children can eat? This is the reality for thousands of Delawareans.
Thanks to your donation, the Food Bank of Delaware is able to purchase and provide nutritious food to families facing food insecurity. Your donation will help us get much-needed meals to Delawareans in need. Our buying power is great, and with every $1 donated, we can provide THREE meals to Delawareans in need!
A Season of Action: September & October This fall gives us a powerful double opportunity to make a difference:
-
September is Hunger Action Month: A nationwide effort to raise awareness and take action against hunger.
-
October is National Co-op Month: A celebration of cooperative businesses working together to build stronger communities.
My Year of Service: Leading for Community: Hi, I am Flynn Mucha! As the Delaware Delegate on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Youth Leadership Council, representing the Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC), I am dedicating my year of service to turning awareness into action across both of these national observance months. Electric cooperatives are guided by "Concern for Community," and this service project brings that principle to life. Food insecurity isn't just a statistic—it affects our neighbors, classmates, and friends. By stepping up together throughout September and October, we are putting cooperative values to work to ensure no local family goes without the nourishment they need.
