Celebrate 25 years of lifesaving at Faithful Friends Animal Society

Join us as we celebrate 25 years of compassion, community, and lifesaving impact at Faithful Friends Animal Society’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.

This special evening will bring together supporters, friends, and champions of our mission for an unforgettable night honoring the journey we’ve taken together and the future we’re building for animals in need.

  • Space is limited, and advance RSVP is required by Monday, April 6.
  • Cocktail attire suggested.
  • Enjoy delicious dinner stations, beverages, and plenty of FUN throughout the evening.

We are honored to welcome Michael Mountain, Founder of Best Friends Animal Society, as our special guest speaker. The evening will also feature an exciting special announcement from our Executive Director and Board of Directors as we look ahead to the next chapter of lifesaving in our community.

Guests will have the opportunity to experience our Legacy Exhibit, a curated walk through 25 years of milestones, memories, and the incredible people who made it all possible.

If you’re unable to attend, we invite you to make a donation in honor of this meaningful milestone and help ensure the next 25 years are even more impactful than the first.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

PET SPONSORSHIP
$10 Bean Needs Your Love

Bean came to Faithful Friends in July of 2021. He was found as a stray and brought to our shelter for care with the hopes of reuniting him with his family. Unfortunately, that was not the case and Bean has been under our care ever since. Bean has some problematic behaviors that inhibit his success in a traditional home environment - however, he has a home and job at Faithful Friends. Bean is in one of our dog condos, with indoor outdoor access, and when not there, his most likely spot is in our playgroup yard. Bean is our resident dog tester, who helps us assess the sociability of any dog who comes into our care. He can run, play, teach and avoid conflict when dogs are unsure about being friends. Bean has many staff friends who spend time with him, and after a long day in play group, he’s often snoozing away in his kennel, dreaming of his next playgroup session!

Dogs in sanctuary care at the shelter or long term foster care through Faithful Friends are provided with food, medical care and enrichment through their lifetime. Sponsoring a pet or becoming a foster family helps ensure that dogs who need extra support are able to still enjoy the comforts of a home, rather than a shelter kennel.

$10 Help Kittens in Need

Not only does April bring rain showers but it also brings tons of kittens to the shelter! Kitten season is upon us. Traditionally commencing in March and extending through October, and occasionally beyond, this period signifies a heightened demand for critical supplies and donations to aid foster parents in their care of kittens during their formative stages. Annually, we anticipate assisting over 300 kittens in need, and this year is no different! Kitten season is a time of the year when cats tend to mate and give birth. This can be attributed to a variety of factors, such as longer days, warmer weather conditions, and more access to food. Cats can produce litter after litter until the weather turns cold again, so although this season is typically March through October it sometimes lasts much longer.

We have already seen an influx of kittens coming into our care, and need YOUR help to continue our lifesaving efforts.

$10 Samantha's Safety Net

Samantha came to Faithful Friends from a partner shelter in January 2023. She's only 3 and a half years old and has spent most of her time in a shelter environment so our staff has been giving her lots of love and attention. Samantha is deaf and has faced some challenges being in a shelter environment, so our trainers have been working with her to make sure she continues to learn good behaviors and gets regular enrichment activities. She gets time out to play with her dog friends, and lots of snuggles from her human caretakers every day!

$10 Aspero Needs YOU

Meet Aspero. He came to the shelter after being found abandoned, and while he’s a bit older, he knows exactly what he likes in life: peace, quiet, and a little affection on his own terms. Aspero enjoys his independence and is perfectly content spending time by himself, though he may occasionally ask for a few gentle pets when the mood strikes.

Aspero has tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV), a virus that affects a cat’s immune system and can lead to secondary illnesses. FeLV is contagious to other cats through close contact with infected cats’ secretions such as saliva, blood, or urine, through mating, or from a mother to her kittens at birth. Some cats are able to clear the virus with a strong immune response, but others develop the progressive form.

Unfortunately, Aspero has tested positive for the progressive form of FeLV, which means he is terminally infected. Cats with this form of the disease typically have an average life expectancy of 3–5 years after diagnosis, and many eventually develop FeLV-related illnesses such as cancer or severe anemia.

Because FeLV is contagious to other cats, Aspero must live either as the only cat in the home or with other cats who are also FeLV positive. The good news is that FeLV is not contagious to humans or to non-feline animals.

$10 Iduna's FeLV+ Journey

Iduna came to Faithful Friends as a stray and tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). While this means she’ll need to be an indoor-only cat and the only feline in the home (or live with other FeLV+ cats), she still has so much love to give. Iduna would thrive in a quiet, understanding home where she can feel safe, loved, and cared for.

FeLV+ cats can live happy, fulfilling lives with attentive veterinary care and lots of affection. Iduna may be shy at first, but with patience and kindness, she’ll blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion. She’s just waiting for someone special to give her the calm, forever home she deserves. 🐾

$10 Dawn's Deserves YOUR Help

Meet Dawn, a sweet, playful girl with a heart full of love and a gentle, joyful spirit. Dawn is FeLV-positive (Feline Leukemia Virus), which means she’ll need a special home—but it doesn’t stop her from living a happy, affectionate life or being an incredible companion.

FeLV is only contagious to other cats, not to people or dogs. Because of this, Dawn needs to be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV-positive cats. The virus is spread through close, long-term contact between cats, such as sharing food bowls or grooming, so her future family just needs to be mindful of her feline roommates.

What truly defines Dawn isn’t her diagnosis—it’s her personality. She loves people, enjoys playtime, and thrives on attention and companionship. She’s affectionate, engaging, and always ready to brighten someone’s day with her charm and loving nature.

Dawn is looking for a calm, caring home where she can be cherished for the wonderful cat she is. With the right match, she’ll return that love tenfold.
