This year, funds raised from the Create the Future Awards will directly support the Downtown San Diego Partnership Foundation’s Workforce Readiness Program, helping individuals experiencing homelessness move toward long-term stability.

The Downtown San Diego Partnership Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the Downtown community through initiatives that support both economic and social well-being. Since 2010, the Foundation has partnered with community stakeholders, elected officials, and regional service providers to expand outreach and connect individuals experiencing homelessness with housing, shelter, and supportive services.

One of these initiatives is the Unhoused Care Workforce Readiness Program, a multi-week program designed to empower Safe Sleeping clients with the tools and support needed to secure employment. Since launching in March 2025, participants have received hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world job experience while working alongside the Downtown Partnership’s Clean & Safe Ambassadors, gaining valuable skills that help build pathways to sustainable careers and stable housing.
