Austin is growing fast — and so is our older population.
 

Across Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties, thousands of seniors are navigating aging in a city that wasn’t always built with them in mind. Many no longer drive. Many live alone. Many have no family nearby. Many are one missed ride away from a missed doctor’s appointment…one quiet week away from isolation.

That’s why something important happened this year. Chariot, Drive a Senior Austin, and Senior Access united to become one organization: Drive a Senior.

By coming together, we are aligning systems, strengthening infrastructure, and building the capacity to meet the rising demand for senior services across Central Texas.

And during Amplify Austin, you can help power what comes next.
 

A Ride Is More Than Transportation

When a volunteer or staff driver picks up a senior for a medical appointment or grocery run, something else happens.

Stories are shared. Laughter fills the front seat. For many clients, that short ride may be the only meaningful interaction they have that day. That week.

We don’t just provide transportation. We provide connection, reassurance, and dignity.
 

Our Amplify Goal: $60,000

During Amplify Austin, we’re raising $60,000 to fuel hundreds of rides for seniors across our expanded service area.

Your gift helps: 

• Provide free rides to medical appointments through volunteers or rideshare services

• Group rides to the grocery store or social outings 

• Game Day gatherings for 50+ clients

• Support older adults aging safely at home

Every dollar keeps our wheels turning and our community moving.
