Terri Thompson is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Nursing.  She worked  at what is now Overland Park Regional Medical Center for nine years as a Critical Care RN.   She joined Cumulus Media in Overland Park Kansas, where she had a 20 year career in advertising creating and implementing campaigns for National and Global Corporations while staying focused on strengthening the local community by helping small businesses succeed.  Terri accepted a position at the Museum at Prairiefire and joined the world of non-profits in 2017.  She is the Executive Director of the Museum at Prairiefire who’s Mission Program, KC Urban Advantage, provides access to essential STEAM education to Kansas City’s most underserved youth with the intent of breaking cyclical poverty by sparking future STEM careers.
