About Dancer Mark McKee

Born and raised in Kansas City, Mark is a proud Shawnee Mission South Raider and attended the University of Kansas where he started Pyramid Pizza during his sophomore year.  He went on to start and run several businesses including a three-acre car and motorcycle venue called The Ace Café in Orlando, Florida. Mark is currently the CEO for the Kansas City Monarchs Baseball Club and MaxFun Sports & Entertainment.

Mark is married to another KC native, Julie Riggle McKee.  Mark and Julie have enjoyed raising three beautiful daughters - Mallory, Chandler, and Brooke.  They are passionate about Kansas City and have served in leadership roles with several area charities including Bacchus, Leukemia Man & Woman of the Year and Hands & Hearts.  They are also co-founders of the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend benefitting Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Regarding Mark’s dance prowess, he likes to brag that he never twisted an ankle while dancing in over thirty “daddy-daughter” dances in a seventeen-year span at the Liz Kelly Dance Studio with his three daughters. When not practicing his dance moves, Mark loves to spend time with family and friends at the Lake of the Ozarks and family farm.  He feels fortunate to be able to participate in supporting the Cristo Rey School.
