Heather Hurd

Born and raised in Kansas City, Heather grew up on the Missouri side. After high school Heather attended Central Missouri State in Warrensburg to pursue a career in health and wellness. She worked for the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, she held the position director of fitness for 7 years before following her second passion, painting, a talent she got from her mother. In 1999 she started Beautiful homes a decorative paint and faux finish studio. She studied under various masters enhancing her ability and portfolio. Also, she trained with a union painter learning the ins and outs for the preliminary prep work. Through dedication and hard work she ran a successful all female crew for 18 years which led her to the nick name “paint chick” and beautiful homes turning into The studio chick. The final leap led her to the commercial side shortening the business name to TSC specialty contracting, a WBE union commercial painting contractor going on her 23 year in business. Heather is married to Matt Hurd her soulmate and the love of her life. Together they have five kids and two grandchildren. Heather resides in Shawnee where they are a part of the Ambassadors Rotary club and volunteer with various animal shelters and outreach programs. She looks forward to telling Cristo Rey story and raising awareness to help these dedicated an amazing .
