The Dance for Freedom Dance Team is for all dancers ages 12 and up who want to make a difference to end human trafficking. The 2025-2026 Dance Team will begin in October 2025 and will feature several opportunities to represent Dance for Freedom, including doing the opener and finale at the Dance for Freedom Showcase on February 28, 2026.
Rehearals start on October 25, 2025 and run weekly (taking breaks for holidays) until the showcase in February. Dancers are requested to attend a minimum of nine sessions and the mandatory dress rehearsal February 27, 2026.
Joining the Dance for Freedom Dance Team includes:
- Pre-registration for the 2026 Dance-a-thon on February 28, 2026
- T-shirt to wear to all performances
- All choreography and rehearsal sessions for the 2025-2026 season
- Filmed choreography to practice at home
The DFF Dance Team will feature two levels:
Beginning/Intermediate - for dancers ages 12-14 OR with less than 5 years of dance experience.
Advanced - for dancers over age 12 with more than 5 years of experience.

What is Dance for Freedom? Dance for Freedom is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to bringing awareness and education about the realities of human trafficking (sometimes called "modern day slavery") through the art of dance. Dance for Freedom exists to educate and empower dancers and their families to make wise choices and to make a difference in the fight against human trafficking in this generation.
