ALC 2025 serves as an opportunity for network leaders to reflect upon and reinforce the work completed over the past year.

  • Conference sessions will center around organizational leadership and service delivery growth, providing interactive and informative content that you can use in your day-to-day work.
  • You can expect ample networking opportunities, peer-led workshops, important updates from CSC headquarter leadership, interactions with sponsors and exhibitors, and inspiring plenary sessions from visionaries in their respective fields.

What is ALC? 

  • Cancer Support Community hosts a three-day Annual Leadership Conference (ALC) every August to bring together Network leaders from over 200 worldwide locations in 50 markets, including CSC and Gilda's Club centers as well as healthcare partnerships. During the conference, you will make lasting connections while sharing successes, learning from challenges, and inspiring one another.
  • ALC 2025 is open to all network partner leaders (as defined by their ED/CEO/COO/PD/DD/Board Chair/Vice Chairs). 

Conference Details

  • ALC 2025 is hosted in-person only at the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

Hotel Details

  • Check-in begins at 4:00 PM ET, and Check-Out is at 12:00 PM ET 
  • Rooms in the ALC room block are $189.00 USD/night plus tax and are available from Sunday, August 3, to Friday, August 8. Please note that the hotel room block cutoff date is Friday, July 11, 2025, so please book your room prior to then. If you run into any issues with your reservation, please call the hotel at 202.628.2100 and reference our group code “ALC".

Open House at CSC Washington, D.C.

  • You're invited to kick off the 2025 ALC at our Open House on Monday, August 4, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM ET. Stop by to say hello to your fellow Network colleagues before the conference begins!   • There is no additional cost to join, and light appetizers and drinks will be provided.

  • Due to limited parking, we strongly recommend taking the metro, a cab, or a ride-share service if possible.
    • If you are taking the metro, we would recommend getting off at the Anacostia stop. From this stop is an 8-minute walk to CSC D.C.

Cost Breakdown

  • Registration fees are fully refundable through July 11, 2025. After this date, all sales are final. 
  • Covered by Registration Fee:
    • All conference sessions
    • Breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
    • Breaks with refreshments on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
    • Heavy hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, and new this year: a comedy set by Corey at the Mid-Week Reception on Wednesday, August 6
    NOT covered by Registration Fee:
    • Travel costs to and from Washington, DC, including flights and rental cars
    • Hotel room fees and taxes
    • Any meals purchased during your travel

Networking Dinner Information

  • Networking Dinners will be held on Tuesday, August 5. If you plan to attend the Networking Dinners, please add the ticket to pre-pay for your mea.
  • Please note that "tickets" to join a networking dinner comprise of a $40 fee to cover entrees, non-alcoholic drinks, and tip. Alcoholic beverages, appetizers, and deserts may be purchased on your own tab. As the Networking Dinners are a pay-on-you-own event, this fee will allow for easier payment of group meals at the end of the night. 
  • More details about the networking dinners will be shared at a later date.

Weather & Attire

  • While attending conference sessions, we request that you dress in business casual attire. For the Happy Hour on Wednesday, casual attire is welcome! The event will carry forward the theme: "Opportunities in Bloom" - think Cherry Blossom Season in D.C. Feel free to get creative with floral prints, soft pastels, and spring-inspired looks!
  • Pleaes note that the average daytime temperature in August is 87 degrees Fahrenheit and humid, and the average nightime temperature is 66 degrees Fahrenheit. If you plan to travel around DC during the conference, make sure to pack accordingly!

Traveling to Washington D.C 

  • Airports
    • If you are flying, we would recommend the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or the Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). 
  • Amtrak
    • If you are taking the Amtrak, we would also recommend going into the Washington Union Station. 

Traveling to the Hotel

  • Transportation
    • Please note that the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill does not offer shuttle service. However, their property is easily accessible by metro, rideshares, taxis, Uber, and Lyft.
  • Taxis, Uber, and Lyft
    • The trip from DCA to the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill is a 15-minute drive, and the cost is approximately $17-20. 
    • The trip from IAD to the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill is a 45-minutes drive, and the cost is approximately $40-45.  
  • Parking Personal or Rental Car
    • The Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill only offers valet parking for $50 per car, per night, plus tax. There is no self-parking offered. 
  • Metro
    • Train service to depart from the National Airport Metro Station (DCA) to Union Station is approximately $3.10. You may take the Yellow Line to the Gallery Place Chinatown Metro Station then transfer to the Red Line to get to the Union Station. 
  • Walking Distance
    • From the Gallery Place Chinatown Metro Station to the hotel is a 14-minute walk.
    • From the Union station to the hotel is an 8-minute walk.

Traversing DC from the Hotel

Things to Do in DC

  • You can find all the best things to do right here in DC, from concerts and cultural events to American histrory, free attractions, and so much more right on the official DC Tourism Site
  • It's east to ride the Metro or hop on a bike and explore all that the nation's capital has to offer. Walk the halls of the free Smithsonian museums, paddle on the Potomac and Anacostia rivers, or site back on a double-decker tour bus and soak up some history. Local shops, funky marketplaces, and people-watching hot spots beckon by midday, as nighttime gives way to multi-course dinners and drinks from local breweries. However you spend your time here, make it count!
