Rebuilding Cherokee’s Home & Ranch – Volunteers Needed
We first learned about Cherokee and her family’s needs through our friends at Operation Liberty Hill. During the heavy rains and flooding around July 4th, her mother’s home took on 18 to 24 inches of water, leaving behind a heartbreaking mess.
While some will be at Reynosa, we will continue to serve locally. Cherokee and her family's home and ranch were devastated by the July floods. As Cornerstone responded immediately after the devastation, we found a family that the Lord pointed at, and we went. Since that time, relationships have developed, tears have been shed, and support has been given. We are going back to continue the healing and to display what Christ can do in times of catastrophe. We plan to continue with drywall rebuild after the flood cuts, general cleaning, and help with the overwhelming amount of work they have in front of them to put their lives back together. Most importantly, we will bring the body of Christ together in that place- for them to see.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” — Luke 10:27
God bless you!
