Rebuilding Cherokee’s Home & Ranch – Volunteers Needed
We first learned about Cherokee and her family’s needs through our friends at Operation Liberty Hill. During the heavy rains and flooding around July 4th, her mother’s home took on 18 to 24 inches of water, leaving behind a heartbreaking mess. By the time we arrived, Cherokee — with the help of her family and friends — had already mucked out much of the home. But the weight of it all had taken its toll. She was overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure of what to do next, so she prayed!!
The damage didn’t stop at the house. The arena and two cattle pastures were devastated — littered with debris, downed trees, overturned equipment, and missing livestock. It was a lot to take in.
But God moved — and so did you.
Almost 200 volunteers from Cornerstone Restoration and surrounding communities stepped in and showed up in a powerful way. What Cherokee told us numerous times, says it all: "You were an answer to prayer"
Now it’s time to go back — and finish the work.
We’re ready to help make the home and fencing whole again. We’ll be rebuilding fencing, clearing more debris, replacing insulation and drywall, painting, and helping the family move back in. But more than that, we’ll be showing up again as the Body of Christ — the boots on the ground, a community united to be His hands and feet.
