Renita and her special needs son were introduced to CR by a sweet lady who attends church with her.  She and her husband had been trying to help Renita after her husband passed but it was just too much for them to do on their own.  They had remembered hearing about Cornerstone from John's mom so they reached out for help!  After many months and lots of prayer, a generous donor made a contribution specifically to Renita allowing us to start the work on her home. We could not be more thrilled. 

The transformation of this home has been amazing to watch.  The last time we were there, all of the floors in the main living spaces were completed.  This created such an atmosphere of peace and newness for Renita and her son Melvin.  Melvin's room was also finished, giving him the ability to move into a place of stability, which he desperately needed.  This project has been big, and we still have a few more things to do.  The crumbling vanity in the bathroom needs to be replaced, as well as bathroom tile installation.  There is one more area of flooring that needs finishing, as well as the final steps to complete drywall, trim, and painting.
