Devastation in Liberty Hill - Will You Help Restore Hope

On Tuesday, July 8, a team of approximately 50 Cornerstone Restoration volunteers traveled to Liberty Hill to serve neighbors devastated by the recent catastrophic flooding. What we witnessed was nothing short of heartbreaking. The destruction was overwhelming—entire homes had been swept off their foundations, carried across creeks by the sheer force of the floodwaters. Families were left with nothing but waterlogged walls, broken structures, and shattered spirits.

Cornerstone Restoration is not a disaster response ministry by design. We are a long-term, relationship-driven organization focused on repairing homes and restoring dignity for the most vulnerable. But in this moment, the Lord has clearly led us to respond to the urgent and devastating need in Liberty Hill.

That’s why we are returning to Liberty Hill this Saturday, July 12, and we need you with us. This Saturday’s Serve Day will focus on clearing debris, making emergency repairs, and loving our neighbors in word and deed. Whether you’re skilled in construction or simply have a heart to serve, there is a place for you on the team.

After you register you will receive more information on where and when we will meet and what to bring. We are especially in need of chainsaws. 

The two homes we worked on this week were only triaged—just enough to make them barely livable. But restoration is still ahead, and we cannot do it alone. These families are counting on the body of Christ to come together and bring light into their darkest days.

This is not just construction. This is compassion in action. This is the Gospel lived out.
