Together with her husband, Frank D. Scroggins, LaShawn, is establishing The LaShawn Mabrey Scroggins & Frank D. Scroggins Legacy Leader Scholarship to honor the transformative role Coppin State University played in her life and to invest in the next generation of leaders. They believe that education is more than a pathway to personal success; it is a responsibility to uplift others, strengthen communities, and leave a legacy of service for generations to come.

This fund provides scholarships to undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior students in a degree-seeking program. Preference will be given to Social Work, Applied Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, and other helping professions majors at Coppin State University who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
