But an event like this doesn't happen without a community behind it.
There Is a Place for Everyone!
We know that everyone has different schedules, interests, and ways they like to contribute. That's why we are offering several ways to volunteer during the Mariposa Walk.
Early Bird Walking Crew 🦋 6:30 AM–8:00 AM
Help us get Mariposa ready, then join the walk!
- Please note: This volunteer opportunity is intended for individuals who have already registered for the Mariposa Walk and would like to volunteer before participating in the walk. This volunteer opportunity DOES NOT include a Mariposa Walk ticket. Participants must register separately to participate in the walk.
All-Day All-Stars Crew ⭐ 7:00 AM–12:00 PM
Be part of it all, from first arrivals through final cleanup. Break included.
- This shift keeps the Mariposa Walk moving behind the scenes! Volunteers will receive an event-support assignment, preparing you to help with guest welcome, registration, T-shirts, activities, refreshments, setup or cleanup as needed.
- This shift does not include walk participation.
Mariposa Hype Crew 📣 8:00 AM–11:00 AM
Bring the energy, cheer on participants, and help guide walkers along the route.
- This shift makes the Mariposa Walk come alive! Volunteers will receive a cheer location assignment and should be ready to help motivating our runners, walkers, and help guide walkers along the route. Helping with post-walk cleanup as needed.
- This shift does not include walk participation.
