We are joining with Texas Cryoworks to host a Blood Drive as we Honor Ellie for what would be her 12th birthday. Blood transfusions were a critical part of her journey.

We know how much these donations are needed and love to be able to provide an opportunity to give back to those in need in this way!

Facts about Blood Donations:

1. Healthy adults who are at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent in Texas) and weigh at least 110 pound may donate whole blood every 56 days.

2. 4.5 million American lives are saved each year by blood transfusions.

3. 10 - 12 pints: amount of blood in the human body.

4. One unit of blood is roughly the equivalent of one pint.

5. Blood fights infection and helps heal wounds.
