BRAVE Communities remains committed to bringing people together across cultures and generations to Build Relationships Awareness, Voices, & Engagement (BRAVE). Your support powers youth leadership, community connections, and social innovation throughout Austin and beyond.

Each year, BRAVE selects a key social issue to explore through youth leadership, community conversations, and cultural arts. In 2026, we’ll address one of the most urgent topics of our time:

How can we use technology responsibly to strengthen democracy, equity, financial well-being, and collective care?

We will host a quarterly people- and technology- centered community-building series, each including a cultural and artistic celebration that uplifts voices, honors heritage, and reinforces emotional connection through music, art, and storytelling. And, we will empower local young people to be the change they wish to see in their world.  

Your support fuels BRAVE’s core programs that make Austin, and our world, a more connected, equitable, and hopeful place.

Our Programs:

🌟 #MakeATXBRAVE Youth Challenges
Empowers young people, ages 14-24 years old, to work togehter to design and implement community-based initiatives. This equips the next generation to be critical thinkers, develop leadership and teambuilding skills, and be part of the solution to strengthen civic engagement, representation, financial literacy, and mental well-being. 

🌟 BRAVE Communities Connections
Public forums amplifying culturally diverse voices, lived experiences, and shared community stories, so we may change the narrative and build relationships. We will host a quarterly community-building event this year.

🌟 Global Social Change Programs
Youth leadership and social innovation exchanges with participants from Algeria, Cambodia, Egypt, Fiji, Korea, Indonesia, Lebanon, Morocco, Taiwan, Tunisia, Vietnam, and across the U.S. Participants will immerse themselves with the people, culture, and professional scene of Austin, TX.

An annual celebration of culture, creativity, local small businesses, and community solidarity.
